History

Doug Kempton, Founding Director of Eagle Sports Club, had a vision of using sports as an outreach to children. That vision became reality in the Spring ’99 when ESC launched its 1st soccer league at Balduck Park on Detroit’s eastside.

Following the Spring & Summer soccer programs offered in ’99, it was obvious that there was an incredible void in the way of recreational sports programs being offered in the community. This was evidenced by the 200 children that enrolled. Surely as Eagle Sports Club’s program gained momentum, the numbers would grow! And they have . . .

          - $60,000 invested in building 4 baseball diamonds
